Aboutthis Role
The Deputy to the Vice President of Energy Finance & Structuring will play a pivotal role in executing the organization’s clean energy finance strategy for tribal communities. This position involves both analytical and relational elements, supporting project finance, fund operations, stakeholder engagement, and internal coordination efforts. The role is designed for an individual with strong financial acumen and a commitment to the empowerment of tribal communities.
Responsibilities- Support strategic planning, execution, and day-to-day operations of energy finance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of finance policies and procedures.
- Provide analytical and operational support across concurrent projects.
- Support financial analysis, modeling, and structuring of energy projects.
- Assist with underwriting, due diligence, and risk assessment activities.
- Administer and operate the Indigenous Power & Light Fund.
- Maintain alignment between fund activities and indigenous values.
- Collaborate with tribes and stakeholders to enhance financing efforts.
- Coordinate relationships with financial institutions and government agencies.
- Support communications related to finance offerings and funding opportunities.
- Plan and execute finance-related workshops and trainings.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align finance activities with organizational goals.
- Support grant-related financial inputs and internal reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, public policy, business, or significant relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in project finance or a related field.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and organizational skills.
- Experience with or alongside Tribal Nations or Indigenous organizations.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
