My client in the hospitality / real estate industry is looking for a Senior Manager (or Director) of Accounting & Reporting. This role would report into the Boston office 3x per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Reporting to senior leadership, this role would serve as the liaison between corporate, audit, tax, and lenders on behalf of a $3 billion AUM organization.
The role would have 1 direct report, and offer the opportunity to grow into Senior Director and eventually VP level.
Qualified applicants must have the following:
- 6+ years of experience
- Strong GAAP expertise
- Experience with audit
Compensation is $145-160K + bonus
Role SummaryThis role sits within the Corporate Accounting organization and reports directly to senior finance leadership. It carries end-to-end responsibility for the financial oversight, accounting operations, and reporting obligations tied to the company’s interests in investment fund and joint venture structures. Acting as the central point of coordination among internal stakeholders and external partners, this position ensures the integrity, consistency, and punctual delivery of financial information and compliance requirements across complex, multi-entity arrangements.
Success in this role requires a blend of technical accounting depth, commercial awareness, and the ability to communicate clearly across functions.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation strongly preferred
- At least six years of progressively responsible accounting experience, ideally within hospitality real estate, investment funds, or private equity environments
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP and consolidated financial reporting frameworks
- Prior exposure to joint venture accounting structures is highly desirable
