Real estate focused private equity firm with a fantastic reputation, unique portfolio and top-tier team has a newly created role for a career-minded Fund Accountant.
The Fund Accountant will work closely with the VP, Fund Controller, and the broader team to handle day-to-day accounting, financial reporting & investor-focused requirements for a portfolio of funds.
This is a dynamic role. The Fund Accountant will handle a mix of financial statement preparation, month-end close, valuation analysis, investor accounting and business partnering internally with acquisitions, investor relations, and asset management teams.
The ideal candidate has between 2 years and 3 years total experience in public accounting or in a fund accounting role within a real estate investment firm.

Qualifications:
- BS, Accounting, Finance, or related
- 2+ years of public accounting experience or corporate / fund accounting experience
- Experience with real estate clients or in a real estate firm
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships cross-functionally working with a variety of different teams in a dynamic organization
- Strong accounting skills, GAAP, financial reporting and audit / controls skills
- Desire to grow and develop long-term with the company
