Position: Growth Investor

Associate – Growth Equity, Boston, MA or Palo Alto, CA

Do you have experience investing in software or tech-enabled services businesses?

Are you looking to take ownership within a long-term, thesis-driven investment strategy?

About the Role

H&P has been mandated by a leading Growth Equity fund to appoint an Associate. This is a rare opportunity to join a specialist investment platform focused on long-term investing within the lower middle market across the US and Canada.

The firm manages over $1.6 billion of committed capital and has funded almost 300 investment vehicles, resulting in more than 165 business acquisitions. It is currently deploying capital from its latest fund vintage and an established long-term hold strategy, focused on recapitalising high-performing software and tech-enabled services businesses with a preference for durable ownership. The firm has an active portfolio of approximately 85 companies and a strong track record of top-quartile private equity returns.

This hire is critical to the continued growth of the Long-Term Hold strategy. The Associate will play a central role in underwriting, execution, and portfolio engagement, working closely with senior investors and management teams.

Position:

  • Lead and summarise expert calls and third-party diligence processes
  • Prepare investment committee materials, internal memos, and deal analysis documentation
  • Engage directly with CEOs, management teams, and co-investors, supporting portfolio initiatives and internal strategy projects
What You Bring

  • Direct M&A deal experience, including diligence, financial modelling, valuation, and investment committee preparation
