Accountant - Real Estate Private Equity - Boston - Hybrid
A real estate investment firm with a multi-billion-dollar portfolio is seeking an Accountant to join their team. The firm manages a diverse range of real estate strategies, and the role offers strong exposure to both fund and property accounting.
This role will support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for real estate funds and separate accounts. This individual will work cross-functionally with internal teams and will interact with third-party property vendors.
Responsibilities Property Oversight- Review monthly financial statements prepared by third-party property managers
- Analyze budget vs. actual performance and evaluate NOI fluctuations
- Review tenant receivables, capital transactions, and property cash flow projections
- Meet with Asset Managers to assess property performance
- Conduct periodic desk audits
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial close
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
- Support debt covenant compliance reporting
- Prepare consultant and investor reporting packages
- Coordinate audit and tax deliverables
- Prepare industry reporting submissions
- Review property- and fund-level performance calculations
- Calculate management fees and assist with forecasting
- Review fund-level bank reconciliations
- Prepare wire and capital draw requests
- Record acquisition and disposition entries
- Support special projects and ad hoc analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 2+ years of experience in public accounting or real estate accounting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required;
Yardi experience a plus
This role provides exposure to institutional real estate funds and senior leadership, offering meaningful responsibility early on and clear growth potential. The approximate salary range for this position is between $90,000K-$110,000K, depending on experience.
