Position Summary

As the first dedicated finance resource, you will play a central role in building the company's financial infrastructure from the ground up. You will own dedicated work streams around finance systems, controlling, and business planning — working closely with the leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to shape core financial processes at an early stage and grow with the company.

The Role Finance Systems & Processes
  • Support the selection and drive the implementation of core financial management and accounting systems (e.g., cloud-based accounting software, billing and revenue management, payment infrastructure)
  • Establish and document financial workflows, approval processes, and internal controls
  • Manage day-to-day coordination with external partners such as tax advisors, auditors, and banking partners
Controlling
  • Build and maintain the controlling framework including cost center structures, P&L reporting, and KPI dashboards
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting and variance analysis for leadership
  • Monitor cash flow, burn rate, and runway; proactively flag risks and propose corrective actions
Business Planning & Budgeting
  • Develop and maintain the company's financial model, including revenue forecasts, cost projections, and scenario planning
  • Support the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts
  • Prepare investor-ready financials, business cases, and due diligence materials as needed.
The Candidate
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • CPA is preferred
  • 7+ years of professional experience in finance, controlling, or accounting
  • 3+ years in a start-up or scale-up environment; prior tech/SaaS, digital health, healthcare services or biotech focus is a plus
  • Hands‑on experience implementing or working with financial management and accounting tools in a tech‑enabled or SaaS environment
  • Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting skills
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity; able to build structure where none exists yet
  • Proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable wearing multiple hats
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
