Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in day-to-day accounting operations, such as Month End Close, reporting and general ledger account review and analysis.
- Responsible for reconciling assigned balance sheet accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
- Prepare and review journal entries around assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses in compliance with GAAP.
- Perform variance analysis, forecasting, identifying trends and recommending improvements for operational efficiencies.
- Assist in the preparation for the external audit, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance and recommending adjustments as necessary.
- Support special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses as required by management.
- Engage with all leaders and stakeholders.
- Engage with all employees organizationally as needed.
- Partner with the Controller.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is preferred.
- 4 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with demonstrable experience in financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience in managing month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
