US Equity Trader

This role is an execution position for US equity trading, collaborating with portfolio managers and analysts across our US book of business. The trader will operate from the Boston trading desk, work with global trading teams, and add value to client portfolios through best‑execution and risk‑management practices.
Responsibilities- Executing equity transactions, using a mixture of high‑touch and low‑touch execution methods, for all relevant accounts under management.
- Executing orders in a manner consistent with our best‑execution and risk‑management practices and corporate policies and procedures.
- Gathering, analyzing, and disseminating market, sector, and security information that identifies or creates actionable investment opportunities.
- Developing and enhancing an in‑depth understanding of the investment philosophies and strategies of portfolio managers, strategists, and analysts.
- Soliciting potential trade interest from portfolio managers and locating external supply/identifying internal demand for liquidity opportunities in the market.
- Remaining informed of new product developments.
- Fostering new trading relationships and leveraging existing relationships.
- Monitoring and improving efforts to enhance efficiency while mitigating risk.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant trading experience.
- Experience trading a wide array of instruments is additive.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in work.
- Work well in a team‑oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail, with a precision and risk‑management mindset.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply those skills in a highly practical fashion.

- Strong quantitative skills; programming experience is additive.
- Pro‑technology mindset and ability to leverage technology to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, team‑based environment.
- Undergraduate degree required; MBA/CFA viewed favorably.
- Base salary range: USD 120,000 – 225,000 (considering experience, skills, certifications, and education).
- Variable compensation and discretionary corporate bonus or incentives if eligible.
