The principals of Bain Capital Real Estate have been investing together since 2010 and have invested over $5.6 B of equity in more than 475 assets across multiple sectors. After joining Bain Capital in 2018, BCRE raised the $1.5 B BCRE Fund I, and the $3 B BCRE Fund II, value‑add real estate funds focused on thematic investments in the US and internationally.
BCRE has now closed on in excess of $600 M for its BCRE Life Science Fund and anticipates holding a final close in Q1 of 2021.
Averaging 23 years of real estate experience, Bain Capital Real Estate’s senior investment team brings together a broad range of expertise including acquisitions, asset management, portfolio management, financing, investment sales, investment banking, financial reporting, legal, engineering, and development management. They also have direct lines into long‑time industry leaders as well as the up‑and‑coming real estate players across a variety of asset classes and specialties.
The team draws upon this foundation of complementary expertise and experience to source opportunities, drive value and mitigate risk.
As part of Bain Capital, the real estate team leverages the firm’s global platform to assist them in sourcing efforts as well as deep industry expertise in multifamily/living, life sciences/healthcare, consumer/retail, industrials and other sectors germane to its current portfolio as well as future investment themes.
ANALYST POSITION DESCRIPTIONBain Capital professionals are exposed to a broad set of situations and companies, and systematically develop skills as a value‑added investor. Analysts will learn how to evaluate investment opportunities through the application of fundamental strategic analysis in addition to the more traditional financial modeling.
We are seeking full‑time Analysts for summer 2023 start, based in Boston. The ideal candidates will have a strong academic record with prior internship experience within an investment bank or consulting firm.
Candidates should exhibit the following skills and/or experiences:
- Self‑motivated, creative thinker with strong commercial instincts
- Strong communication, interpersonal and selling skills
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively
- Excellent academic record from a top undergraduate school
