** The Position
** The Energy & Infrastructure (E&I) strategy invests holistically across the infrastructure landscape including real asset, services, and technology opportunities spanning power, midstream, energy transition, digital, transportation, utilities, and products. The team's mandate is to deliver compelling, risk-adjusted returns with strong downside protection and significant upside potential. E&I leverages subject matter expertise, ability to underwrite complexity, speed to execute, and a peer-oriented go-to-market strategy to establish itself as a differentiated partner of choice.

This hire will be a deal captain leading sourcing, execution and portfolio management across a variety of transaction types with responsibility as a senior member of the team to drive E&I’s future growth and investment strategy.
** Responsibilities**:
* Lead value-add infrastructure equity transactions with a focus on directs and co-investments as well as fund and platform opportunities
* Lead all aspects of deal execution including sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, structuring, management of the investment committee process, legal documentation, and asset management
* Manage multiples projects at a time
* Work with external partners as well as LMI’s legal, asset allocation, risk, and accounting & operations teams to develop customized investment opportunities and strategic partnerships
* Engage with external counter parties and market participants to enhance E&I’s presence in the space
* Drive robust relative value discussions across the organization and seek to generate optimal risk-adjusted returns for the overall portfolio
* Promote a culture of collaboration and be willing to work cross-functionally to add value across the organization
* Pursue the development of technology, data, and analytics needed to support the role
* Develop and train junior team members who are mostly based in Boston.

* Qualifications:

*** 10+ years of experience in private equity infrastructure investments, including sourcing, structuring, execution, and management of complex transactions
* Deep experience underwriting investments with an ability to identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies
* Proven investment track record with experience leading and overseeing a range of investments across sectors
* Experience in managing deal teams and external constituents
