WHAT YOU’LL DO- Working alongside VP of Mission Impact Investing to align investment strategies and outcomes with Britebound’s mission and program goals, and to develop investment thesis and selection criteria for filtering investable opportunities.
- Assist in communications to, and relationship with, Britebound’s Investment Committee (“IC”).
- Source potential investments by working with entrepreneurs.
- Conduct due diligence, recommend investments to Program Directors, and negotiate terms.
- Monitor performance of all investments and ensure proper documentation of investments and valuations for accounting and audit purposes.
- Provide technical assistance to investees (e.g., business plan review; serve as board observer or board representative).
- Maintain balance of innovation, return expectations, and appetite for risk to distinguish Britebound’s investment approach.
- Ensure compliance with investment fundamentals and work with the IC to update those principles over time; develop metrics for assessing performance of mission investments and reporting to stakeholders.
- Coordinate between investments and other program activities to maximize overall social impact.
- Communicate and present the investment portfolio’s activities, results, strategy, and lessons to trustees, the IC, and senior management.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or management consulting.
- Proven ability to oversee teams, manage complex transactions, and cultivate professional relationships.
- Excellent accounting and finance knowledge.
- High degree of honesty and integrity with commitment to Britebound’s mission.
- Extensive network of social investors and experience collaborating with other funders and investors.
- Superior understanding and proficiency in negotiating, structuring, and overseeing equity and debt investments.
- Strong entrepreneurial skills and experience with growing private companies.
- Experience working with small, highly accomplished teams to drive investment results.
- Demonstrated leadership presence; strong verbal, written communication, relationship building, networking, and public speaking skills.
- Team player who works well in a collegial environment.
- Preferred MBA and/or CFA designation, with a strong grounding in finance and investing.
$180,000 - $247,000
