Managing Director, Investments

Responsibilities
  • Serve as an active member of both the Investment and Asset Management teams.
  • Support asset management activities, including property‑level decision‑making, investor reporting, quarterly valuations, and annual budget tracking.
  • Participate in transactions from initial identification through underwriting, closing, development, day‑to‑day management, and disposition.
  • Analyze investment and financing opportunities, including financial underwriting, due diligence, market research, ad‑hoc analysis, and preparation of investment committee materials.
  • Prepare and evaluate sophisticated Microsoft Excel and Argus models across asset classes, including waterfall and preferred equity analyses.
  • Support the construction team with permitting and development processes, as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison with external parties for property tours, execution of confidentiality agreements, collection of market data, and attendance at industry events.
  • Maintain proprietary databases and conduct market research to support acquisition efforts.
  • Identify and source potential investment opportunities in targeted markets.
  • Update and assist with drafting presentations for internal and external meetings.
  • Analyze and summarize deal‑related documents, including contracts, leases, term sheets, and related materials.
  • Take ownership of ad‑hoc projects across the organization as they arise.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a concentration in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field.
  • 0‑3 years of related experience, with a demonstrated track record of hard work, achievement, and strong performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Argus, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and a proactive interest in applying them to commercial real estate workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask while producing high‑quality work with efficiency and timeliness.
  • Familiarity with Yardi and/or Power BI preferred.
  • High degree of personal integrity and professionalism.
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to take ownership of a broad range of assignments.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and analytical capabilities.
  • Positive attitude and good sense of humor.
Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and overall skill set. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors assessed throughout the interview process.
