Financial Consultant
Senior Director – Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) Modernization drives large-scale modernization programs for state Medicaid agencies, leveraging Gartner’s research and insights to enable technology transformations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead large-scale Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) modernization programs for state Medicaid agencies, including MMIS and eligibility/enrollment systems.
- Drive thought leadership and client relationship management, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Oversee strategy and implementation phases, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
- Manage multiple priorities and inspire high-performing teams.
- Hands‑on delivery of large, complex projects.
- Ability to create, review, and present deliverables.
- Analytical skills and ability to develop frameworks for junior staff.
- Understanding of vendor landscape and state modernization efforts.
- Exposure to other HHS programs.
- Business development experience.
- Deep expertise in Medicaid programs (technical and programmatic).
- Experience supporting state Medicaid agencies, especially with MES modernization (including MMIS and eligibility of enrollment).
- Strong client presence and ability to lead/manage teams.
- Experience with in a well‑regarded management or technology consultancy in project delivery and business development.
- Ability to lead large projects and teams, combining technical expertise with strategic vision.
- Comfortable influencing and building trust‑based relationships with senior executives.
- Track record in achieving/exceeding revenue targets preferred.
- Intellectual curiosity and creativity in developing solutions to client challenges.
- Coachable, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
Gartner offers world‑class benefits and competitive compensation. The estimated base salary range for this role is USD 168,000 - USD 199,000 annually. In addition to base salary, employees may participate in an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role‑based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Other benefits include generous PTO, a 401(k) match up to $7,200 per year, opportunities to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
