Position Overview
The BRG Corporate Finance practice specializes in providing strategic, operational, and financial advice to private equity firms and other over‑performing or transitioning entities. We operate across industries such as retail, consumer products, financial services, healthcare, energy, and technology.
The practice is currently hiring a Turnaround & Restructuring professional to work on diverse turnaround advisory assignments, articulate findings, and recommend actions that create value for clients.
Responsibilities- Support day‑to‑day activities of the Turnaround & Restructuring client service teams.
- Execute consulting engagement tasks, including financial modeling, client presentations, and reporting.
- Build and analyze 13‑week cash flow models, 3‑statement models, and pro‑forma scenario models.
- Collaborate with Turnaround & Restructuring experts, other BRG professionals, and client contacts to achieve engagement objectives.
- Prepare reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
- Assist in practice development activities such as marketing, client pitches, and product development.
- Demonstrate professionalism, ethics, quality, and integrity in all work.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 4+ years of work experience, ideally in consulting or professional services.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis (Excel), including constructing and interpreting 3‑statement models, cash flows, and scenario analyses.
- Experience with 13‑week cash flow modeling and Chapter 13 processes for bankruptcy transactions.
- Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to develop insights and recommendations.
- Established ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent written and oral communication with junior and senior stakeholders.
- Professional demeanor, empathy, intellectual curiosity, and quick learning ability.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA or equivalent, technical/GAAP accounting expertise are a plus.
Salary Range: $90,000 to $160,000 per year.
