KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Bain Capital Credit’s leverage facilities including middle market CLO’s, asset-backed facilities, and fund level financing arrangements.
- Oversee liquidity planning across a spectrum of levered private credit funds, including BDCs, evergreen funds, and SMAs.
- Liquidity Forecasting & Management:
Forecast fund-level liquidity and leverage metrics, factoring in new deal pipeline, realizations and use of financing facilities; prepare borrowing/paydown requests to maintain appropriate liquidity for new deal funding and other cash needs; maintain and advise Portfolio Management on fund-level liquidity and leverage statistics over various time horizons and stressed scenarios. - Leverage Facility Administration & Management: maintain borrowing bases and portfolio surveillance models to support liquidity and financing facility management processes; optimize financing facility collateral to maximize availability and manage against facility concentration limits and eligibility criteria; drive collateral reporting process with trustees and other reporting requirements with lenders for credit facilities and CLOs as required by indentures/credit agreements; coordinate with lenders, trustees and Bain Operations to execute quarterly waterfall distributions for credit facilities and CLOs;
coordinate with rating agencies to obtain credit estimates for portfolio companies; facilitate lender asset review process with Bain deal teams ahead of primary deal fundings; assist in development and implementation of processes and technology solutions to improve day-to-day efficiency and accuracy.
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience, preferably within private credit and/or CLO’s.
- Four-year college degree with a strong academic background.
- Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to interact with outside parties and personnel across all levels of the firm.
- High attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy and responsiveness.
- Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities and work under strict deadlines.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and solutions‑oriented approach.
- Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership and follow‑through skills.
- Ability to decipher complex legal documents and credit agreements.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Expected Annual Base Salary: $95,000 – $110,000. Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
