Actuarial Support Specialist; Hybrid

The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for an Actuarial Support Specialist to join our Corporate Actuarial team in our Plymouth, MN or Boston, MA office on a hybrid schedule. This job is responsible for providing strong support to the actuarial function through data gathering, data analysis, and data presentation across various databases. Some of the Actuarial Support Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provides strong quantitative support in product development, financial analysis, management reporting, actuarial research, and applying statistical concepts.
• Adept in computer technology, software tools and working with large data sets. Runs, maintains, and enhances existing processes.
• Collects, captures, and organizes data and other information from existing sources.
• Manages, maintains, and analyzes data for accuracy. Identifies and corrects data issues.
• Generates reports and ad hoc exhibits as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree required. General insurance knowledge is desirable.
• 2‑5 years of related experience in data collection and data analysis is essential.
• Position is not pursuing an actuarial designation, but an incumbent may have a few exams.

Location:

Plymouth, MN or Boston, MA. Hybrid schedule.

The typical base salary range for this position is: $74,000—$106,000, depending on location. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA;
Washington DC; our Massachusetts based offices and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $94,000—$110,000. In addition to base salary, full‑time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits.
