Pricing Officer

Overview

The Manulife Bermuda Pricing Officer is highly visible and critical for implementing Manulife Bermuda’s top strategic priorities. The position reports directly to the Chief Solutions Officer and leads a diverse team of actuaries to design, develop, and price competitive life insurance products.

• Lead, manage, develop, and motivate a professional team to design, develop, price, and implement innovative life insurance products.
• Own all actuarial aspects of new business, including profit and risk measures, assumptions, and capital management.
• Represent Manulife Bermuda Pricing within the company and lead or participate in cross‑functional working groups.
• Collaborate with Distribution and Product Management on business management issues.
• Drive pricing involvement in all new strategic initiatives and network with industry peers to gather market information.
• Ensure full compliance with Corporate Pricing Standards and all corporate policies.
• Identify opportunities and lead initiatives to improve competitiveness, profitability, or capital management of new business.
• Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize long‑term profitability and enhance customer value.
• Align incentives, investments, and resources to support product strategy and business growth initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Proven leadership experience in actuarial pricing and strategy development.
• Creative thinker with a growth‑oriented mindset and strategic ability to create product roadmaps.
• Superior leadership skills and the ability to motivate and influence associates at all levels.
• Strong understanding of actuarial concepts and methods.
• Ability to conduct pricing research and provide data‑driven recommendations.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for pricing.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills for cross‑functional teams.

• Salary range: $152,900 – $283,800 USD (hybrid working arrangement, location Boston, Massachusetts).
