The Transfer Agency Supervisor
- Alternatives will be responsible for the process, control, and supervision of investor transactions such as the recording of commitments, capital calls, distributions, transfers, and redemptions. The supervisor will support the Alternatives Transfer Agency Team Leader/Manager in day-to-day operations and promote high client satisfaction. Responsibilities include planning resources for a small team, monitoring deliverables, and resolving or escalating delays. The role includes supervision of trading, payment instructions, cash reconciliations, and investor reporting.
- Proactively establish solid client contact through prompt follow-up and assisting in client service reviews
- Provide filtering and escalation for client requests
- Serve as an escalation point for client service issues and deliverables
- Establish appropriate contacts within client organisations and internal departments
- Build overall credibility and foster trust with clients
- Ensure service issues are addressed immediately and escalated accordingly, taking steps to resolve and prevent recurrence
- Interact and establish solid relationships with all relevant BBH teams
- Provide mentoring, assistance, guidance and support to direct reports and other staff
- Supervise all trading to ensure it is carried out in accordance with the Funds’ prospectus and operating procedures
- Supervise and control payment instructions and perform associated cash reconciliations
- Supervise and control investor reporting such as contract notes and statements
- Deliver high quality services and deliverables on a timely manner
- Contribute to the productivity of the client service team as well as BBH’s standards of service
- Manage controls to alleviate risk, comply with policies and procedures, and identify problems early for escalation
- Analyze root causes of problems and propose opportunities to close gaps and upgrade internal processes
- Challenge the status‑quo and participate in system project improvement and testing
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years Transfer Agency experience, preferably in an alternatives (real estate, debt, private equity funds) environment
- Fluency in English is mandatory;
German and/or French is an asset - Experience in planning, initiating, and following through to meet objectives
- Excellent communication, organisational and presentation skills
- Strong written, verbal and presentation abilities
- Proficiency with numbers, accuracy and organisation, and the ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure
- Knowledge or prior experience of eFront is an advantage
Salary Range: 70,000 – 100,000 (USD) + annual target bonus. Compensation includes base salary, discretionary bonuses and profit‑sharing. Benefits include long‑term savings, health care, income protection, professional development opportunities and paid time off.
