  • Manage multiple projects, priorities, and administrative tasks.
  • Identify key tax risks and opportunities.
  • Apply ASC 740 requirements to prepare and review income tax accrual calculations, including current and deferred tax computations, valuation allowance analyses, uncertain tax positions (ASC 740‑10), effective tax rate analysis, quarterly and annual journal entries, footnotes, tax account roll‑forwards, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review income tax disclosures for SEC filings (10‑Q, 10‑K) and related financial statement footnotes.
  • Conduct federal and state tax research and draft/review memoranda to support tax return filing positions and ASC 740 conclusions.

  • Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax matters, including provision, planning, technical research, and audit support with external auditors.
  • Support business development efforts, including managing client relationships, expanding existing accounts, and identifying opportunities within current engagements.
  • Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of analysts and associates.
  • Analyze complex ideas or proposals and develop meaningful recommendations.
  • Simplify complex messages by highlighting and summarizing key points.
  • Address work that does not meet firm or client expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to scale efficiencies and improve ways of working across projects and environments.
What You Bring

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with clients, peers, and management.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and team‑oriented attitude.
  • Creativity in problem solving.
  • Accountability and ability to multitask.
  • Professional presence.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Detail‑oriented approach.
  • Self‑motivation and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to recognize team members’ strengths and development areas and encourage ownership of professional growth.
  • Commitment to promoting and valuing diverse perspectives within teams.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
  • Minimum 8+ years of tax experience in a Big Four, national accounting firm, or large corporate tax department, with significant focus on ASC 740 and income tax provision.
  • Demonstrated expertise in industries such as manufacturing, CPG, life sciences, and healthcare.
  • Combination of audit and tax provision/advisory experience strongly preferred, particularly with private equity portfolio companies or SEC registrants.
