Responsibilities & Activities
  • Prepare and review complex individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to high-net-worth clients
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for client communications and tax-related inquiries
  • Mentor and support junior tax associates, reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and proactively communicate recommendations to clients and partners
  • Stay current on federal and state tax law changes and assess impact on client situations
  • Assist partners in managing client engagements from planning through delivery
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team on billing, deadlines, and workflow management
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and internal best-practice development
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; advanced degree a plus
  • CPA license required (or actively pursuing with significant progress)
  • 5+ years of public accounting or tax experience, preferably with high-net-worth or private client focus
  • Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state individual income tax
  • Experience with trust, estate, partnership, and/or S-Corp taxation a significant plus
  • Proficiency with professional tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Pro Series, or similar)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple engagements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset and the desire to help build something great
  • Manager- or partner-track candidates strongly encouraged to apply
  • Appreciation for a team that takes its work seriously but not itself- sense of humor a plus
  • Competitive salary: $85,000–$115,000 commensurate with experience
