Project Coordinator
OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and experienced industry professional to contribute to our architectural projects in the Boston office. You will report to the COO and be responsible for overall financial management of a portfolio of projects within our Mission Critical practice.
Responsibilities- Manage the financial aspects of assigned projects, including project setup, maintenance, invoicing, and closure.
- Build strong relationships with internal business partners such as Project Managers, Project Accountants, Finance Managers, and Accounts Payable and Receivable teams.
- Organize and prioritize workload independently to ensure timely completion of deliverables, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Implement process or procedural changes as identified and rolled out by management.
- Collaborate with Project Managers on work breakdown structures, issue accurate and contractually compliant invoices, and perform ad hoc functions as needed.
- Evaluate project setup and budget change documentation for compliance with contractual requirements and internal controls.
- Monitor accounts receivable and perform financial analysis as needed.
- Strong understanding of project accounting principles within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.
- Experience managing financial aspects of complex projects from setup through closeout.
- Knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, contract compliance, and invoicing procedures.
- Proficiency in analyzing financial data.
- Experience with work breakdown structures, project cost tracking, and budget modifications.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/project management software such as Unanet or Deltek.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with various teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of contractual billing requirements and internal financial controls.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and support the implementation of operational efficiencies.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven professional services environment.

- Experience in project coordination, administration, and construction administration.
- Skills in administrative support, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounting, and finance.
This is an on‑site role located in the Seaport area of Boston, MA, requiring presence 5 days per week. The work environment is supportive and collaborative, offering the opportunity to work on diverse projects. Pay And BenefitsPay range: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, retirement plan with match, PTO, and more.
