The Senior Finance Associate will support the accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance activities for a growing alternative investment platform. This role is responsible for overseeing key reporting processes, maintaining strong internal controls, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information across multiple investment vehicles.

The position works closely with cross-functional teams including Investor Relations, Tax, FP&A, Operations, and Investment professionals. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving business needs. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of critical financial processes while contributing to the growth and success of the organization.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and investor reporting packages.
• Analyze fund and portfolio performance and prepare management reporting for senior leadership.
• Oversee and review work performed by third-party service providers and administrators.
• Prepare and review capital activity, including investor contributions and distributions.
• Maintain and update investment portfolio records and supporting schedules.
• Monitor portfolio cash flows, including investment income and related receipts.
• Perform daily cash management activities, including account monitoring and reconciliations.
• Coordinate year-end audit activities and serve as a key contact for external auditors.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Experience in investment management, private funds, alternative investments, asset management, or financial services environments preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. As required by local law, the salary range noted above reasonably estimates the base compensation. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
