Senior Finance Associate – Global Private Equity Firm | $95K–$110K Base | Hybrid
Location:
Boston, MA
We are partnering with a premier alternative investment management firm seeking a Senior Finance Associate to join its General Partner Accounting team. The position will support treasury, accounting, tax, and financial reporting activities for General Partner entities while working closely with professionals across finance, tax, legal, compliance, and investment teams.
Responsibilities- Manage partnership operations including cash management, capital calls, distributions, reconciliations, and banking activities
- Prepare and review cash, book, and tax journal entries
- Calculate and maintain carry allocations, vesting schedules, and partner profit and loss allocations
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial reporting packages, capital account reporting, and supporting reconciliations
- Assist with quarterly tax estimates, partnership tax reporting, and K-1 tracking and analysis
- Support investor reporting requests and inquiries
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors on accounting, tax, and operational matters
- Assist with process improvements, special projects, and team initiatives
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continued growth of the department
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience within investment management, fund accounting, partnership accounting, public accounting, or financial services
- Understanding of partnership accounting and investment structures preferred
- Audit or tax experience from public accounting highly valued
- CPA and/or Master's degree preferred but not required
- Experience with Investran or similar fund accounting software is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- $95K–$110K base salary
- Exposure to multiple alternative investment strategies
