Vice President, Credit Trading

Compensation: $200,000–$240,000 base salary + performance-based bonus + profit sharing

Role Overview: The Vice President of Credit Trading will work closely with Portfolio Management to execute investment strategies across credit markets. The role focuses on trading execution, market analysis, liquidity assessment, and supporting investment decision-making through data-driven insights and idea generation.

• Execute trades across high yield bonds, leveraged loans, stressed and distressed credit, credit derivatives, and related equity instruments.
• Ensure best execution across all trading activity in line with portfolio mandates.
• Maintain and develop relationships with counter parties, including sales, trading, and syndicate desks.
• Source and evaluate investment opportunities using fundamental and relative value analysis.
• Develop and maintain analytical tools, screens, and dashboards to monitor markets and identify opportunities.
• Partner with investment, research, legal, operations, and technology teams to support implementation of strategies.
• Provide detailed market, liquidity, and performance analysis to senior investment professionals.

• 5–7+ years of relevant experience in credit trading, including high yield bonds, leveraged loans, distressed credit, and related derivatives/equities (long and short exposure experience preferred).
• Buy‑side experience strongly preferred.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, trading environment.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and problem-solving orientation.
• Ability to present complex analysis clearly to senior stakeholders.
