RSM’s Finance as a Service (FaaS) practice is seeking Senior Associates to perform accounting, technology, and consulting services for private, lower middle market clients ranging from $0 to $100 million. The role involves month‑end close, financial reporting, year‑end audit support, budgeting, forecasting, and cloud‑based technology use.
Responsibilities- Hands‑on transaction processing and account reconciliation.
- Serve as key point of contact for clients on Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash, and Month End Close cycles.
- Lead, manage, and coach client services representatives and associates.
- Review monthly journal entries for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, payroll, and inventory.
- Approve bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review client monthly financial statements, perform variance and budget analysis.
- Analyze financial information for client management and provide actionable insights and decision support.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance monthly operations and suggest process improvements.
- Document repeatable methodologies with tools and templates for future projects.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and make analytical decisions.
- Experience in a public accounting firm, consulting firm, or professional services preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with automated accounting systems (Intacct, Net Suite, Blackline, , Tallie).
- Pursuing CPA or CPA preferred but not required.
- Ability to adapt to change effectively.
Compensation Range: $73,500 - $139,700.
