Equity Solutions Portfolio Analyst – Portfolio Construction & Optimization

Position Summary:

The portfolio solutions team is seeking an experienced Portfolio Analyst to support portfolio construction, customization, and portfolio solutioning efforts across investment strategies. The role focuses on enhancing the investment process by applying portfolio solutioning techniques, including portfolio optimization, to deliver customized investment products in collaboration with portfolio managers, risk and quant teams, product teams, and client‑facing partners.

• Portfolio Solutions & Customization
  • Support the development and implementation of customized portfolio solutions.
  • Translate client objectives, constraints, and preferences into practical portfolio construction recommendations.
  • Partner with portfolio managers and client teams to deliver scalable and efficient customization solutions.
• Portfolio Construction & Optimization
  • Support portfolio construction and optimization processes across investment strategies.
  • Analyze portfolio exposures, allocations, and risk characteristics relative to benchmarks and client objectives.
  • Evaluate portfolio trade‑offs involving return expectations, tracking error and implementation constraints.
• Investment Collaboration
  • Work closely with portfolio managers, fundamental and quantitative analysts, trading, operations, client and product teams.
  • Incorporate both quantitative analysis and fundamental investment considerations into portfolio recommendations.
  • Support ad honem analyses related to client mandates, portfolio construction, and investment strategy.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a portfolio construction or quantitative investment role within asset management.
• Strong understanding of portfolio construction and optimization, portfolio risk analysis, equity strategies, quantitative analysis, asset allocation and investment management principles.
• Proficiency with coding, querying and analytical tools to support portfolio analysis, data management and investment decision‑making.
• Experience with portfolio analytics and risk platforms such as Axioma, Barra, Aladdin, Fact Set, Bloomberg.

Standard working hours:
Hybrid (Four days in office).

Work location:

Boston, MA.

Annual salary range: $175,000 to $200,000, plus an annual discretionary bonus. Eligible for a 401(k) plan with a company match, employee stock investment program, and a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage, retirement savings, learning resources, and paid time off.
