Description

The Premier Banker is an experienced banker who serves as the primary contact for a complex portfolio of mass affluent clients. The role manages the full banking relationship, connects clients to specialists, and delivers TD’s model of convenience, sales, and advice with a personalized, connected experience. The goal is to grow, deepen, and retain client relationships while providing legendary service.

Responsibilities
  • Grow, deepen, and retain strong relationships with a mass affluent book of business by proactively managing and addressing their banking needs with an advice-based approach.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in banking and credit products and explain solutions to clients while acting as a liaison with internal partners in small business, wealth, commercial, and lending.
  • Acquire, retain, and deepen relationships with new mass affluent clients through referrals, leads, and outbound prospecting.
  • Engage in client outreach via phone, email, appointments, and other means to conduct needs-based conversations, review financial information, suggest solutions, and coordinate introductions with partners.
  • Deliver excellent client service, review moderately complex client concerns, and timely escalations.
  • Adhere to all relevant Retail/Wealth policies, procedures, FINRA, and regulatory banking requirements.
  • Engage in loan product conversations, facilitate application intake, and maintain active NMLS registration.
  • Establish and nurture strong working relationships with partners; collaborate on relationship deepening opportunities across Wealth, Commercial, Small Business, and Lending.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to bank staff on articulating program value and making Premier referrals.
  • Understand and implement TD’s client Identification Program (CIP) and AML procedures.
Education & Experience
  • HS Diploma or GED (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2+ years of financial/banking experience
  • Completion of the Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) strongly preferred
  • Life & Health license preferred
  • Experience with retail and small business banking and high net worth clients
  • Active NMLS registration upon hire
  • Consultative sales experience required
Customer Accountabilities
  • Deliver the TD Premier program to eligible clients.
  • Act as an educator and advisor using product knowledge.
  • Perform routine and multi-step customer transactions.
  • Proactively nurture client relationships through outreach, engagement, and product knowledge.
  • Use client relationship tools for needs‑based conversations.
  • Educate clients on promotions, campaigns, and banking tools.
  • Support the Bank’s Customer Service Strategy.
  • Provide end‑to‑end advice built on trust, consultation, and proactive insights.
  • Consider impact of decisions on TD, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Deliver highest level of service to internal partners or vendors.
  • Serve as single point of contact to clients, connecting them with partners as needed.
Shareholder Accountabilities
  • Champion operational excellence, review compliance, and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant documentation of client intentions.
  • Apply compliance policies to all transactions.
  • Engage in loan application discussions and closings.
