Overview
Senior Relationship Manager – responsible for growing direct revenue, retaining high‑net‑worth client relationships, and expanding business within a portfolio; aligns client financial needs and investment objectives with organization strategy while building client base through networking, community involvement, and relationship management.
Responsibilities- Manage client relationships: oversee portfolio to ensure retention and growth while aligning with client objectives and policies.
- Expand portfolio: acquire new high‑net‑worth clients with complex needs through targeted business development and collaboration with Business Development Officers.
- Drive profitability: attain revenue goals, control expenses, monitor profit performance and take corrective action as necessary.
- Deliver exceptional service: foster a service culture by leveraging expertise in investment and wealth advisory services.
- Engage in client events: participate in client‑focused events to enhance business development and strengthen relationships.
- Collaborate effectively: build strong internal partnerships for seamless, professional, timely client service.
- Ensure compliance: implement and maintain effective operational and compliance risk controls.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or advanced certifications such as MBA, CFA, CPA, CFP, or JD.
- 15+ years of experience in portfolio management, wealth management, personal tax, or financial planning.
- Comprehensive understanding of investment products and strategies for sophisticated high‑net‑worth clients.
- Strong financial analysis skills to provide expert advice on complex and high‑value client relationships.
- Excellent relationship building, persuasive recommendation, presentation, writing, and negotiation skills.
- Professionalism, sound judgment, client‑focus, and thorough understanding of operational, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Expected salary range: $175,000–$240,000 for Boston, MA market based on experience, qualifications, and location. Eligible for incentive compensation plan and discretionary bonus.
