Job Summary
Senior Relationship Manager – Middle Market Commercial Banking, Boston office. Partner with leadership teams of dynamic public and private companies generating $50million to $2billion+ in annual revenue, delivering sophisticated financial solutions, deepening client relationships, and driving sustainable growth.
Responsibilities- Manage an extensive portfolio of middle‑market clients with revenues greater than $100million.
- Acquire, deepen, and maintain profitable client relationships through sales, prospecting, and enhancing existing relationships.
- Interpret financial and cash‑flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions of companies and industry trends.
- Collaborate with domestic and international teammates—including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, and Wealth Management—and facilitate client relationships with Product Specialists in Credit, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services to design and deliver financial solutions.
- Lead and facilitate dialogue with complex clients and prospects on industry, alternative capital structures, and business issues.
- Coach and mentor peers while applying leadership skills.
- Adapt to changes in sales practices and broader market and industry conditions.
- 15+ years of experience in commercial lending, corporate finance, or relationship management.
- Deep knowledge of the middle‑market landscape.
- Proven track record of prospecting new business, enhancing existing relationships, and closing profitable transactions.
- Professional sales skills, including planning, execution, and follow‑up of client meetings.
- Strong corporate finance, capital markets, and accounting acumen.
- Financial modeling experience and completion of formal credit training.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Ability to organize, facilitate, and negotiate with a team of bank associates to solve client problems.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 & 63 (must obtain within 180 days of start date).
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- MBA desirable.
- Active member or participant in local community organizations.
- Active networking contacts and Centers of Influence in local markets.
Shift: 1st shift (United States of America). Hours per week: 40.
LocationBoston, MA – 100 Federal St.
PayAnnualized salary range: $140,000 – $235,000. Discretionary incentive eligible.
