We are seeking an experienced finance professional with 5+ years of experience in leveraged finance, private credit, investment banking, corporate banking, or related credit-focused disciplines to join our team as a Deal Structuring lead. This individual will play a key role in the development, analysis, and execution of complex financing transactions, partnering closely with investment, origination, underwriting, legal, and capital markets teams.
The successful candidate will combine strong credit and leveraged finance expertise with commercial judgment and creativity to structure transactions that meet client objectives while appropriately managing risk and optimizing returns.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the structuring and execution of complex financing transactions across a range of industries and capital structures.
- Develop and evaluate debt financing solutions, including senior secured, unitranche, subordinated, asset-based, and hybrid capital structures.
- Analyze borrower financial performance, cash flow generation, leverage capacity, collateral coverage, and downside protection.
- Structure financing terms, covenants, pricing frameworks, intercreditor arrangements, and other key transaction features.
- Partner with origination and relationship teams to develop tailored financing solutions for sponsors, corporate borrowers, and strategic counter parties.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and internal stakeholders throughout documentation, negotiation, and closing processes.
- Assess transaction risks and recommend mitigants to support sound credit decisions.
- Present transaction recommendations and investment memoranda to senior management, investment committees, or credit committees.
- Monitor market trends, financing conditions, and evolving structuring practices within the leveraged finance and private credit markets.
- Mentor junior professionals and contribute to the continued development of structuring and underwriting best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in leveraged finance, private credit, direct lending, investment banking, structured finance, corporate banking, credit investing, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial modeling, debt documentation, and capital structure dynamics.
- Experience structuring sponsor-backed and/or non-sponsored transactions.
- Familiarity with syndicated loans, private credit, acquisition financing, recapitalizations, refinancings, and growth capital transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financing opportunities and develop tailored transaction structures.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders, investment committees, or credit committees.

Pay Range$130,000 to $175,000 plus additional bonus
