CA provides outsourced CIO, non-discretionary portfolio management, and investment consulting services to endowments, foundations, pension plans, and ultra-high net worth clients.

Job Summary

The Public Equities Research Team gathers, analyzes, and disseminates information on public equity investment funds to support investment directors and clients. The role is located in Boston, Arlington, London, and Singapore. Investment Associates receive ongoing qualitative and quantitative training and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior team members in developing house opinions on Global, Non-US, and Emerging Markets equity managers and markets through qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Use common analytical frameworks to assess funds in terms of organization, investment strategy, performance, fund terms, current portfolio positions, and other key attributes.
  • Conduct portfolio performance analysis using Factset, Bloomberg, and other analytical tools.
  • Source new ideas and monitor existing strategies by attending meetings with portfolio managers and senior personnel.
  • Prepare written research, including commentaries on meetings, due diligence reports, and periodic research such as white papers on current equity market topics.
  • Serve as a resource for colleagues seeking data, analysis, and comparisons across fund managers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (any major) with a record of achievement.
  • Strong interest in investments, strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and initiative.
  • Excellent written communication and business writing skills.
  • Ability to engage with internal and external parties, including senior investment managers.
  • Strong Excel skills preferred; programming skills a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Progress toward or interest in pursuing the CFA designation.
  • Post‑college work experience preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $80,000 – $88,500. Eligible for an annual performance‑based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Placement within the range depends on skills, experience, and qualifications.
