POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Finance Associate is responsible for financial reporting and accounting for Audax Private Debt in Boston. The role supports compliance and control processes for Private Debt Funds and works closely with Investor Relations, CLO, FP&A, Tax and Deal teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Preparation and review of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, fund level returns and investor deliverables for various Private Debt funds
- Prepare monthly and quarterly MD&A on fund performance for senior management
- Review fund administrator’s work on various Private Debt funds
- Prepare and review capital calls and distributions
- Track and update the portfolio of investments for the various Private Debt funds
- Track interest payment receipts across portfolio team
- Daily cash management, monitoring, and reconciliation with the bank
- Take a lead role with the firm’s outside auditor in preparation/review of year‑end audited financials
- Work with the Investor Relations team in preparing fundraising materials and in providing information for investor requests, including fund performance data, fee information and underlying portfolio financial information
- Work with the Tax team in preparing quarterly tax estimates as well as year‑end tax allocations
- Be available to provide timely communication to internal and external stakeholders on projects when required
- Advanced GAAP financial reporting experience
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact with Senior Management and outside parties
- Strong organizational skills
- Professional and energetic attitude
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Self‑starter with ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Exemplary leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated consistency in meeting deadlines with quality work product
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with a CPA
- 3–5 plus years of experience, including public accounting, preferably focusing on alternative investment asset managers
- SEC/BDC reporting and CLO experience is a plus
Boston, MA – 3 days/week in office. These in‑office requirements may change based on the needs of the business.
SALARY & BENEFITSFor Massachusetts:
Base salary range $99,000–$150,000. Compensation may vary and will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant. Employees may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
