Job Overview
Consolidation Coordinator – Boston, Massachusetts (Hybrid). Responsible for guiding participants through the consolidation of external retirement accounts into John Hancock 401(k) s.
Responsibilities- Educate and assist 401(k) participants to understand the benefits of consolidating their retirement assets into John Hancock 401(k) s.
- Assist new and existing participants throughout the roll‑in process, including obtaining authorization on rollover paperwork and contacting plan providers, plan administrators, and third‑party administrators.
- Qualify opportunities and follow‑up on outstanding cases.
- Work directly with financial intermediaries (Plan Consultants, TPAs, and Financial Advisors) to channel roll‑in business into the JH 401(k) plan.
- Deliver superior service in a professional manner.
- Enter and prioritize workflows necessary to track potential roll‑in opportunities.
- Share successful education and process improvement ideas within the team.
- Proactively share knowledge to ensure team objectives are met.
- Contributing to team goals.
- Taking inbound calls as necessary.
- Handling smaller, segmented cases.
- Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Business and/or Finance.
- FINRA Series 6 and 63 required within 6 months of hire.
- Preferred financial services industry experience.
- Strong service and overall communication/negotiation skills.
- Ability to consult with all customers.
- Team‑oriented and ability to work independently toward mutual goals/targets.
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and remain organized in a multiple‑task environment.
Salary range: $32,000 – $53,300 USD (
Job Location:
Boston, Massachusetts). Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
