An investment services company in Boston is seeking a Portfolio Investment Analyst to join the team. We are looking for a person with 1+ years of experience in an investment operations role who is looking to advance their skills.
Job Summary- Assist in the ongoing compliance review process for the firm’s managed investment accounts, which are made up of individual stocks, bonds, and pooled vehicles (ETFs, mutual funds, and Limited Partnerships).
- Maintain and generate daily, monthly, and quarterly reports for the internal investment team covering widely held stocks, asset allocation, performance attribution, and trading history.
- Collect data from outside advisors/investment managers as part of the ongoing due diligence process.
- Develop customized reports using a wide array of software tools like Excel (Advanced user needed: Pivot Tables and Macros, Bloomberg, and Fact Set).
- Rebalance and trade investment portfolios in conjunction with client’s Investment Policy Statement and/or the firm’s investment models.
- Prepare documentation for and attend all Investment Review and Investment Committee meetings. Ensure proper documentation of decisions made in meetings.
- A bachelor's degree with progress towards the CFA Charter is a plus.
- One plus years of experience in investment services/analyst role, with experience working with individual stocks and bonds and outside investment vehicles.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel;
Pivot Tables and Macros; experience with performance‑measurement platforms such as Fact Set or Bloomberg, and a track record of leveraging intelligent workflow and data‑enrichment tools will set you apart. - Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to communicate and interact directly with a diverse group of Account Managers, clients, prospects, outside investment advisors, and other investment professionals.
- Commitment to research and continuous learning in one’s field of expertise, and ability to communicate such knowledge to persons with varying degrees of expertise within the company.
- Work requires a high level of collaboration, requiring frequent cross‑departmental interaction, and judgment when performing essential duties. Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with time constraints, interruptions, and strict deadlines.
Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000 Base Salary
Hybrid Schedule (first 90 days 100% onsite)
