Responsibilities- Provide financial direction and strategic insight to functional leaders, defining and delivering short‑term and long‑term goals, including identification of key value drivers and business KPIs.
- Provide strategic decision support, influencing decisions and identifying opportunities to invest, save costs, and mitigate risks on a global basis.
- Lead the financial planning process, including budget, forecast, and long‑range plan, developing key scenarios and identifying risks and uncertainties with potential mitigation.
- Lead financial performance management, including monthly accruals, forecast and operating review, focusing on understanding the key drivers of short‑term performance and communicating the range of possible outcomes.
- Design, enhance, and maintain business valuation and cost‑of‑goods‑sold models, providing COGS and gross‑margin analysis and opportunities for cost improvement at launch and over the long term.
- Partner within FP&A and with accounting, DTE, and HR to ensure clear ownership and management of deliverables, ensuring seamless finance services to the business.
- Ensure financial integrity and robust corporate governance and compliance for areas of responsibility.
- Telecommuting permitted up to 40%.
Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a Financial Planning & Analysis Associate Director related occupation.
- Experience calculating cost of goods sold and manufacturing costing for biologics products in the pharmaceutical industry, understanding overall manufacturing and supply chain expenses.
- Experience in building financial models to assess manufacturing network strategy, determining geographical location of suppliers, and assessing geopolitical and cost impacts.
- Experience with significant capital expenditures in the pharmaceutical industry and business partnering with the executive team.
- Strong skills using MS Office and financial software applications including Oracle Hyperion for reporting and consolidation.
- Experience building automation in financial software tools including Power BI to create automated dashboards.
- Experience using Inventory Management Systems including Oracle Inventory Management to measure inventory levels.
- Ability to coordinate budget and forecast cycles, consolidating data, challenging stakeholder assumptions, and assessing future expenses and investments.
- Ability to coordinate cost of goods sold, leveraging COGS to assess product portfolio profitability and strategy.
- Ability to lead and drive change in developing business environments with tight deadlines across multiple zones.
- Experience conducting portfolio analysis, valuation, and ROI/ROIC, with strong analytical skills for variance analysis and risk/opportunity identification.
- Experience analyzing manufacturing cost to determine future biologics portfolio COGS and understand drug substance performance and overhead costing.
- Experience conducting net present value analysis for manufacturing network strategy and comparing scenarios to evaluate financial profitability.
- Serve as a key financial leader to the executive team, providing strategic insight, explaining variances, and developing remediation plans.
- Experience assessing manufacturing chain investment scenarios, providing guidance on financial implications of large investments.
- Experience calculating manufacturing cost per dose to forecast future gross margin of biologics launches.
- Define and deliver short‑term and long‑term goals for Commercial Manufacturing and Supply Chain Cell & Gene Therapy and Biologics programs, including key value drivers and business KPIs.
