- Support all aspects of trade settlement function for the Capital Market Operations business across multiple investment strategies and asset classes, including corporate bonds, public equities, mortgage‑backed securities, bank loans and various complex fixed‑income and equity derivatives.
- Interact with the funds’ prime brokers, trading counter parties and custodians as needed to support the trade settlement process.
- Manage the prompt resolution of failed trades and all settlement‑related issues.
- Ensure the timely and accurate booking of all trade details on the proprietary position master and portfolio accounting system.
- Assist with primary and secondary loan closings and settlements.
- Interact with the funds’ trustees and internal treasury team regarding cash requirements.
- Liaise as needed with the firm’s external settlement partners to effect the timely and accurate settlement of trades.
- 1–3+ years of experience in a complex financial services industry, preferably in public equity, fixed income and/or high‑yield related business.
- BS or BA with finance and accounting basics.
- Experience with Bloomberg and other trading and settlement software platforms.
- Familiarity with legal documents and credit agreements.
- Detail‑oriented, conscientious and energetic professional with ability to think creatively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to interact with all levels both internally and externally.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under strict deadlines.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership and follow‑through skills.
- Working knowledge of Omgeo, Oasys and Alert.
- Solid Microsoft Excel skills.
Expected Annual Base Salary $70,000–$78,000. Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
