Senior Operations Associate

About the Role

A well-established institutional investment management firm is seeking a Senior Operations Associate to join its investment operations team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the full investment trade lifecycle across equity and fixed income portfolios, ensuring timely settlement, accurate reconciliations, and efficient operational processing. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced back-office investment operations professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and partnering with Trading, Portfolio Management, Compliance, Client Service, and external counter parties to support daily operations and process improvements.

• Manage the full trade settlement lifecycle for domestic and international equity and fixed income transactions.
• Perform daily trade matching and settlement utilizing DTCC CTM and related industry platforms.
• Monitor settlement activity and resolve trade exceptions with brokers, custodians, and counter parties.
• Process and reconcile investment transactions across multiple custodians.
• Perform daily cash, position, and transaction reconciliations while investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Support corporate actions, cash management, account onboarding, and operational reporting.
• Maintain strong operational controls and ensure the accuracy of investment data.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Accounting, and Client Service teams.
• Participate in operational projects, system enhancements, testing, and process improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of investment management back-office operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of equity and fixed income trade settlement.
• Hands‑on experience with DTCC CTM trade matching and settlement workflows.
• Solid understanding of the complete investment trade lifecycle, including settlements, allocations, reconciliations, and corporate actions.
• Experience working with custodians, brokers, and institutional counter parties.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Institutional asset management or investment management experience.
• Experience supporting multiple asset classes.
• Familiarity with investment operations platforms such as Bloomberg, Charles River, Advent, Eagle, or similar systems.
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging, settlement processing, and cash management.
• Experience supporting operational improvement and technology initiatives.
