Senior Associate, Working Capital

Overview

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a leading independent global professional services firm, is expanding its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) – CFO Services team in various locations throughout the United States. With over 3,000 professionals across 40 locations in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America, the firm specializes in turnaround management, performance improvement and corporate advisory services.

Professional Experience

• Solid understanding of finance and accounting, with a preference for CPAs.
• Experience structuring work plans and managing time‑sensitive projects through completion.
• Developing findings and making strategic recommendations.
• Strong financial modeling and financial statement analysis; 13‑week cash‑flow modeling preferred; experience with Tableau and think‑cell software is a plus.
• Treasury / cash management experience is a strong plus.
• Systems implementation experience is a plus.

• Synthesizing meaningful insights from data, opinions or facts.
• Strong written, oral and analytical skills.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Structured project management (time, team and work‑stream management).
• Initiative and drive.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Ability to deliver time‑pressured projects on time and on quality.
• Flexible and creative thinking.
• Client relationship building.

• 7–10+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy or a related field (e.g., treasury, sourcing, supply chain, corporate finance).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited four‑year institution.
• Strong expertise with data and analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau.
• Flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time at short or immediate notice.

The salary range for this role is $120,000–$160,000 annually, depending on education, experience, skills and geography. A&M also offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Salary details are available upon request.
