Corporate Actions Specialist - Aladdin (Max $51/hr W2)

Position Summary:
Brokerage Investment Management is looking for an experienced Corporate Actions Specialist to join their Operations team. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This candidate will be responsible for processing all mandatory and voluntary corporate actions for the firm. Additional Responsibilities:
Include assisting key stakeholders with corporate action related inquiries, reconciliation, and settlement. The ideal candidate will come with at least 3-5 years of industry experience and knowledge of fixed income and equity securities.
- Provide functional support to MSIM portfolio managers, traders, and portfolio administrators through the Blackrock Aladdin Trade Management System.
- Responsible for analyzing data and monitoring corporate action events in Aladdin between vendors, middle offices and custodians.
- Manage and process both mandatory and voluntary corporate action events from initial announcement through final settlement.
- Soliciting and receiving responses from the Front Office for Voluntary events and submitting instructions to various custodians prior to deadline dates.
- Provide functional support around corporate action workflows including data consumption, maintaining processing standards and management of overall corporate action functions.
- Identify and resolve issues related to corporate action transactions in a timely fashion following established guidelines, procedures, and controls.
- Responsible for cash and position reconciliation related to corporate actions in Aladdin for all designated portfolios.
- Liaise with middle office and custodian banks to resolve unconfirmed settlements and reconciliation items.
- Provide exceptional operational support to key stakeholders.
- Facilitate accurate and timely delivery of critical business inquiries to and from internal clients, internal business colleagues, operational colleagues, and external counter parties.
- Redefine procedures and implement solutions to improve efficiency and help mitigate operational risks.
- Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience? 3-5 years of operations and/or related experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, collaborative and innovative solution-focused thinking skills.
- Knowledge of custodian bank operating standards and interoperability with asset management.
- Knowledge of equity and fixed income securities a MUST.
- Specific knowledge of corporate actions is a MUST.
