Investment Banking Analyst/Senior Analyst/ Junior Associate – Med Tech
Location:
Boston, MA (onsite 3-4 days a week)
Candidates must have at least one year of middle-market or bulge-bracket investment banking experience.
Global, full-service investment is seeking an Analyst Investment Banking Analyst/Senior Analyst/ Junior Associate (title commensurate with experience) to join its Med Tech team. Analysts play an integral role in supporting the origination and execution of mergers and acquisitions as well as equity and financing mandates. Junior members of the team enjoy considerable responsibility throughout the course of each deal, and work closely with the firm’s mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and sponsors coverage groups as well as research teams.
At the same time, as befits an entrepreneurial firm like this one, team members are encouraged to assume a number of diverse responsibilities, including proactively identifying new business opportunities.
Responsibilities are as follows:
- Create presentation materials
- Perform financial and valuation analysis
- Prepare marketing/offering documentation and materials
- Oversee due diligence processes
- Work with senior investment bankers to ensure efficient and successful execution of transactions
- Provide support with new business development efforts, including:
- Identification and prioritization of potential clients
- Development and delivery of pitches to prospective clients
- Participation in marketing at appropriate industry events
- Coordinate with Equity Research, Capital Markets, Sales & Trading, and Legal team members
Qualifications
- Ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in investment banking or financial services; M&A banking background is a plus
- Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
- Excellent financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and accounting skills / knowledge
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional analytic aptitude and creativity
- Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work on a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
- Resourceful self-starter; able to work autonomously
- Demonstrated team player
Compensation
: $110-165K base depending on experience plus discretionary bonus and excellent benefits package.
