Investor Relations Analyst/Associate (Boston)

Full‑time position within Bain Capital’s Investor Relations team located at the Boston headquarters. The analyst will support senior IR professionals covering the Credit business by providing marketing, diligence, and reporting support for fundraising and limited‑partner communications.

Responsibilities
  • Complete RFPs/RFIs and update Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs)
  • Collaborate with investment professionals and IR colleagues to create pitch books and sales presentations, revising slides as guided and sourcing relevant data
  • Serve investor information requests during fundraising and ongoing periods
  • Work with IR colleagues on market‑ and strategy‑related marketing updates
  • Assist with implementation and product management of PowerBI and standard reporting materials
  • Perform fund, investor, and market‑level analysis
  • Provide research and analytical support for IR special projects
  • Assist with recurring reporting preparation, update marketing collateral, and write investor letters
  • Maintain consultant and performance databases
  • Regularly update standard reporting materials (returns, portfolio characteristics, employee information) on a monthly/quarterly cycle
  • Manage version control, critical documentation, and the review and distribution process for marketing materials
Qualifications
  • Strong academic credentials (BS/BA from a highly regarded institution)
  • 1–4 years of experience in investor relations, asset management, consulting, or financial‑services marketing
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable interacting with personnel at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to organize, interpret, and manipulate large data sets using VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Experience developing marketing and reporting materials focused on financial/institutional asset management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Team‑oriented, self‑starter with strong project‑management skills and a willingness to take on any task
  • Detail‑oriented, conscientious, energetic, and capable of thinking creatively
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual base salary $75,000 – $100,000 (determined by role, experience, location, etc.)
  • Eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual, team, and firm performance
