Managing Director, Special Situations Investment Banking and Capital Advisory

Job Title

G2 Capital Advisors is seeking a professional with extensive experience in financial advisory services, particularly in distressed and underperforming companies. The role involves leading financial restructurings, distressed capital raises, sale processes, and other complex transactions.

Location:

New York, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, or San Francisco (open to other geographies or remote on select candidate basis)

• Provide financial advisory services to distressed and underperforming companies.
• Lead market and business development activities.
• Source and originate new clients across G2's service offerings.
• Develop and implement balance sheet restructuring strategies.
• Negotiate and execute restructuring transactions.
• Manage financial restructuring plan execution.
• Manage day-to-day requirements of restructuring-related engagements.
• Contribute to the growth of the Restructuring & Revitalization practice team.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide key oversight of analytical work.
• Serve as main communication channel between G2, clients, and stakeholders.

• Minimum 10–15 years of direct restructuring investment banking experience.
• Extensive experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, capital markets transactions.
• Significant experience in turnaround/restructuring advisory and crisis management.
• Experience synthesizing complex unstructured information rapidly.
• Consistent track record of successfully structuring and leading client engagements.
• Familiarity with out-of-court and in-court restructuring processes.
• Impeccable attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and alignment with G2 values.
• Enthusiastic, pro-active, self-motivated positive attitude.
• Strong educational background: MBA from top tier program or CPA / CFA / CIRA preferred.
