Financial & Insurance Analyst (Sales)
Role
Summary:
The Financial & Insurance Analyst is critical to the future state of CRICO's finance department and data governance program. You will play a pivotal role in financial analysis, forecasting and insurance analysis. At the same time, ensuring that data is complete, accurate, and timely for operational and analytical usage.
- Conduct detailed financial & Insurance analysis, reporting and projections, including trend analysis, loss analysis, and financial modeling.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial data and reports to the management and stakeholders.
- Assist in evaluating and determining financial & insurance risks and opportunities related to insurance programs when it comes to premium pricing, capital position, loss and reserve, and other activities.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, assist with internal and external audits.
- Work closely with other teams, including underwriting, claims, actuaries, and IT to gather relevant data and provide financial insights.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial & Insurance analysis and reporting.
- Support the Enterprise Data Governance team to implement and operationalize data governance process, best practices, and software across the organization.
- Other activities and tasks as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- A masters degree or professional certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in financial analysis and reporting is a plus but not required, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Strong experience using SQL and other programming languages is a plus.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, and familiarity with related software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Skilled in leveraging data analysis tools and techniques to obtain, clean, and organize data to generate recommendations and insights
