Trust Advisor
Our client is seeking an experienced Trust Advisor to work closely with multigenerational families whose financial, investment, and estate-planning needs are complex and varied. The Trust Advisor administers a range of accounts, including trusts, IRAs, investment management accounts, foundations, and partnerships that function as family investment vehicles. This position is supported by Trust Coordinators who assist with day-to-day account administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist trustees with administrative decisions and ensure assigned accounts are administered in accordance with governing documents.
- Communicate directly with multiple generations of family members through in-person meetings, phone calls, and email.
- Support Wealth Management partners and clients on financial, personal, estate-planning, and related matters.
- Monitor account cash flow, perform budget analyses, and assist family members with general financial-planning decisions.
- Prepare and coordinate specialized reports as needed.
- Manage account activity, including receipts, disbursements, asset-related transactions, and beneficiary requests.
- Coordinate the opening, funding, and closing of accounts.
- Facilitate charitable and non-charitable gifts.
- Oversee the custody of assets held internally and at outside financial institutions.
- Coordinate with external advisors, family consultants, and other professional service providers.
- Monitor account liquidity to ensure client needs can be met in a timely manner.
- Maintain effective communication across departments and ensure account information is processed according to established procedures.
- Coordinate services with investment, tax, operations, and legal teams.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

- Maintain current knowledge of trends and developments affecting trusts, investments, taxation, and estate planning.

- Exercise discretion and professionalism when handling confidential or sensitive matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, law, or a related field required.
- At least three years of experience working with high-net-worth clients.
- Strong knowledge of income taxation, investments, partnerships, trusts, estate planning, and estate and gift taxation.
- Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and the appropriate escalation of sensitive matters.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with individuals across a wide range of backgrounds and personalities.
- Strong project-management skills, with the ability to contribute to multiple teams and manage several projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects to successful completion under firm deadlines.
- Professional demeanor and presentation appropriate for a client-facing office environment.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to prepare complex reports and spreadsheets.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to quickly learn and become proficient in new technology platforms with limited formal training.
