Finance Manager – Private Equity / Fund Accounting
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee fund accounting, investor reporting, financial operations, and audit coordination for private investment funds. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in private equity, investment management, or public accounting, with expertise in financial reporting, fund operations, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Review quarterly NAV calculations, capital activity, and investor reporting.
- Review financial statements, management fee calculations, carried interest, and fund reporting.
- Manage year-end audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Oversee third-party fund administrators and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
- Monitor fund cash flows, capital calls, and distributions.
- Support quarterly portfolio company valuations and valuation committee reporting.
- Analyze portfolio company financial performance and prepare management reports.
- Partner with Investor Relations to support fundraising, due diligence requests, and investor communications.
- Ensure compliance with partnership agreements and fund governing documents.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve finance processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams on operational finance initiatives and special projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in private equity, investment management, fund accounting, or public accounting.
- Experience with fund accounting, NAV reporting, investor reporting, and financial statement review.
- Strong knowledge of audits, financial controls, and partnership accounting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools is preferred.
- Experience working with large datasets and financial reporting systems.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as Workday or similar financial systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Private Equity or Alternative Investment industry experience.
- Financial reporting automation and process improvement.
- AI-powered finance/reporting tools experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
