ACF leverages the scale and flexible capital of the Ares platform to provide asset-based and cash flow lending solutions to small and middle-market companies, as well as asset-backed facilities to specialty finance companies.

The senior ACF investment team averages over 30 years of experience in commercial finance and asset-based lending.

The team combines specialized credit and collateral monitoring to give clients flexibility and greater credit availability, structuring and agenting deals to support growth and changing capital needs. Facilities may be structured as working capital financing, bridge financing, turnaround financing, acquisition financing, debtor-in-possession financing, and special accommodation financing.

Direct Lending strategy highlights: leveraging the Ares and Direct Lending platforms; multi-asset-class one-stop solutions; ability to rotate between asset classes for relative value; driving proprietary investment opportunities across multiple origination channels and regions; active risk management through structuring and asset coverage; agenting transactions with careful liquidity and performance monitoring; small deal teams with a single point of contact; and a transparent, streamlined approval process.

Primary responsibilities include originating new business opportunities through an existing network, liaising between prospects and the Legal Department on NDAs, requesting and reviewing prospect credit packages, structuring new opportunities for credit committee approval, preparing pre-clear memos and term sheets, negotiating terms, working with underwriters through documentation, traveling to prospect locations, attending industry events, and preparing weekly pipeline reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or international equivalent required; 10+ years of experience as a business development officer and/or underwriter, preferably at an asset-based lending institution; advanced knowledge of asset-based lending and commercial finance practices; strong structuring experience preferred; experience with asset-backed lending, cash flow lending, or direct lending is a plus.

Partner, Commercial Finance. Base salary range: $140,000 - $245,000/yr plus discretionary performance-based compensation.
