About the Role

We are seeking an Equity Research Associate (RA) to join our Global Industry Research Industrials Team in Boston. In this role, you’ll work closely with a senior Global Industry Analyst to support coverage of diversified Industrials. The ideal candidate is a self‑directed, hard‑working team player with a strong interest in cyclical and industrial sectors and the investment management industry.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the integrity of industry and comparative valuation models
  • Perform continuous due diligence on industrials companies spanning the breadth of the sector
  • Build and maintain company financial models on prospective investments
  • Complete complex analytical projects under tight time constraints
  • Stay abreast of relevant company and industry materials and communications
  • Work to identify emerging research trends and novel, investable developments
  • Maintain risk models for long‑only and long/short portfolios

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous investment experience, ideally within a Long/Short (L/S) framework
  • Strong applicants with experience in broader financial services considered
  • Understanding of risk and risk‑based tools beneficial
  • Experience covering the industrials sector in sell‑side equity research, investment banking, private equity, or buy‑side roles
  • Financial modeling ability
  • Aptitude for building investment science skill set through interest in the intersection of science and investing
  • Strong data and technology skills, including experience using platforms/tools to screen, rank, and manage large stock universes
  • Sound judgment, strong work ethic, and highest personal and professional integrity
  • Demonstrated analytical ability
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in the face of uncertainty
  • Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize time well
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior academic credentials; undergraduate degree required, progress with CFA/CAIA levels additive

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary range: USD 90,000 – 180,000
  • All employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits
  • Discretionary Corporate Bonus and/or Incentives if eligible
