Bring your tax compliance expertise to a high-impact role supporting our client’s Credit & Global Special Situations business. In this position, you’ll help drive timely, accurate fund tax filings and investor reporting while partnering closely with internal stakeholders (investment teams, investor relations, finance, legal, and treasury) and external tax advisors. This is an opportunity to deepen your exposure to complex tax matters, contribute to evolving tax strategies and structures, and play a key role in continuously improving processes and tools—including participation in a migration to AI-based software.
CompensationResponsibilities
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and fund accountants to support on-time fund tax return filings and K-1 delivery
- Review tax return work papers, allocation schedules, and tax estimates to support external preparers and ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with external advisors on quarterly projections, U.S. and state withholding, and estimated payment processes
- Provide support for year-end tax reporting needs (e.g., Forms 1099, 1042, and related deliverables)
- Partner with the Tax Team on complex tax questions, structuring considerations, and tax strategy initiatives
- Serve as a point of contact for investor tax information requests in collaboration with the investor relations team
- Help manage responses to federal, state, and local notices and support audit-related requests with internal teams and outside advisors
- Prepare materials such as structure charts, spreadsheets, presentations, and meeting documentation
- Coordinate with internal finance and operations partners to ensure new structures and transactions are booked appropriately
- Contribute to process improvement efforts, including participation in the transition to AI-enabled tax technology
- Maintain and enhance tax trackers, files, and databases to improve reporting readiness and organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of relevant experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or within credit, alternative assets, or private equity
- CPA or J.D./LL.M. preferred
- Strong organizational, documentation, and quality control habits with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to communicate tax concepts clearly to non-tax stakeholders
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter mindset with a collaborative, results-driven approach and comfort taking ownership of projects
- Proficiency with Excel
