CFS is partnering with a premier wealth management and fiduciary services organization to hire an Estate Tax Accountant.
Estate Tax AccountantLocation: Fully Remote (Must reside in New England)
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience, 130-140k
Are you an experienced Estate Tax Accountant looking for a fully remote opportunity with a highly respected financial services organization? Our client is seeking a tax professional with strong fiduciary and estate tax experience to manage a high-volume portfolio of returns and provide expert support on complex tax matters.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and review a high volume of fiduciary and estate tax returns, including Forms 1041 and 706
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 150-300 returns annually
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations
- Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations
- Collaborate with trust officers, advisors, and internal stakeholders
- Assist with tax planning strategies related to estates and trusts
- Respond to tax notices and support audit inquiries as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and client records
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience preparing fiduciary, estate, and trust tax returns
- Experience handling a high-volume tax workload
- Strong knowledge of estate, gift, trust, and fiduciary taxation
- CPA, EA, or master's in taxation preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Must reside in New England
