- Participate in a comprehensive rotational development and training program
- Complete classroom-style instruction, case-study-based exercises, and live work with experienced facilitators and business leaders
- Develop foundational business, financial, and credit skills
- Learn about the innovation economy and business models across various company life stages
- Develop and deliver bespoke financial solutions for startups, founders, investors, and public companies
- Receive hands‑on training in credit risk assessment, loan portfolio management, and client management
- Collaborate with team members to complete meaningful work and assume increasing responsibility
- Assist in managing client portfolios and relationships
- Assess and monitor credit risk
- Provide financial and credit analysis for innovative companies
- Develop understanding of industries, business models, products, and services in the innovation economy
- Build relationships with peers and professionals across First Citizens
- Bachelor’s Degree OR High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience
- Earned a bachelor’s degree prior to the start date preferred
- GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
- Passing grade in at least one finance, accounting, and/or economics college course
- Interest or basic knowledge in business, finance, economics, entrepreneurship, technology, or innovation through coursework, internships, leadership experiences, or employment
- Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to apply feedback
- Professionalism, accountability, and strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain complex situations clearly
- Ability to lead, take ownership, and work independently
- Ready to relocate to one of the company’s 30+ office locations upon successful completion of the program
Demonstrates foundational business, financial, and credit skills with a focus on credit risk assessment and client management. Capable of developing bespoke financial solutions and building relationships within the innovation economy.
